  I can relate with this. I was in a marriage for 18 years and we had nothing in common but that "restrictive" religion. When I decided this was not for me what did we have left? Nothing..

I mean if they don't want anyone watching Moore's movies they sure are going about it the wrong way but I guess that is waht you get with a bunch of wacko red necks.

  Moore has defended deliberate inaccuracies in his prior films by claiming that satirists don't have to tell the exact truth. Fair enough. But if you take the lies, half-lies and distortions out "Fahrenheit 9/11," there isn't much of anything left.

  What about the "lies, half-lies and distortions" that of GW Bush and company have said? These miss-truths have caused thousands of live and the news media were the ones that help propagate these lies as they acted like GW personal cheer leaders.

  I really don't think the Liberals are all that bad considering we already had 8 years of the Conservatives and Brian (I will do anything for a buck) Mulroney. I don't trust the Conservatives hidden agenda and Stephen Harper . I don't care for Paul Martin as he is another slick politician. I do like the NDP leader Jack Layton and the NDP candidate that is running in my area. Unlike the other candiates in my ridding, he has lived in the ridding for over 40 years and understands the needs and concerns of the average working person. I would like to see a minority government.

  I am wondering if the cutting back of the number of days for conventions is more the fact that the society realizes that they can pack the same crap in 3 days that they used to do in 5 days. They save on money for rental costs and probably get the same monetary contributions. I know from the last few DC conventions I went to they still make the same brain washing points to all the good dubs in 3 days. Be good, watch your worldly assocation, pioneer, Jehoba loves you, more money for the work etc.

  Verbal Abuse in Jehovahs Witnesses

  i dont know much about physical abuse in the jehovahs witnesses,but there is sure alot of verbal abuse.i was verbally abused for many years in the congregation by a high up elder,who didnt know anything about his own religion,and a ministerial servant i will call jerkwad abusive.

  (almost sounds like a jedi doesn't it?

  )this punk was a first class liar,jerk,and cared very little about the organization.here's how his cycle of abuse would work:he would do a mean thing,you would become offended,then he would say if you didnt work it out with him,he would go to the elders.you would then forgive him,and then next week,he would do it again.nice,huh?when i first joined the organization,they told me to never tell anybody in the world about any incidences like that,or i would bring reproach on jehovahs name.i wanted to tell somebody,especially the cops,but never did.has anybody else had any experiences like this?god bless.

  Her new husband found out where the PO worked; called him during work hours and threatened him with broken arms and legs if he did not leave her alone. The elder tried valiantly to explain how they were doing what Jehovah required blah blah blah.

  Just shows the arrogance with some of these PO's. As if her new husband could give a dam about what a "Jehovah" requires.

  When I think back to my teens the Jdub that studied with me was very abusive. I recall how when I would go over to his house how he would rant and rave about how short the time was. He would put me on the spot and get in my face by glaring at me, point his finger and say in a very aggressive tone "When are you going to get baptised?". He would keep this up for about 15 minutes and take no for an answer. A very unpleasant experience. I am the type of person that doesn't like to be intimidated and this type of tactic would push me away not bring me into the religion. That was 30 years ago and this so called brother was only in the borg for about 10 years himself. I think that is one reason why I have no use for religion. Now a days that would be verbal abuse.

  Even when I was still going to the DC I would always go over to the local restaurant and eat. I hated having to take a boxed lunch, sit there in those uncomfortable seats and gobble a dry cold sandwich down. I would much rather sit in a nice, clean, quiet, air-conditioned restaurant and have a nice hot lunch. I know I got a lot of dirty looks from others because I was not a Jdub and followed the WT direction but I was at the point I didn't care what others thought.

  No there is only one reason why the bin Ladens were protected, MONEY. You think if it was the average working person's family member that was responsible, that they would not be brought in and interrogated? Also that is only a small part of the film, there is a lot more than has being discussed here.
  
  Again we live under a democracy where we have a right to question what our leaders our doing. That is what our fathers and grandfathers fought and died for during the second world war. I brutal dictatorial Nazi regime. As sson as we forget this and trample on our freedom of speach the terriorts win.

  As for as the brutal techniques employed by terrorists, we as a civilized society have to take the high road and not stoop to their level. If we act like they do then we are no better and have no right to complain. All you would do is escalate the violence and hatred, not just by the terriorts organization but by the average middle eastern civilian.
